Job Requirements Location: RemoteWe are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to architect, deploy, and maintain high-performance enterprise data warehouses across our New York and Virginia facilities. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end administration, high availability, and performance engineering of our Oracle infrastructure across all Dev, Test, Stage, and Production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Architecture & Operations: Design, configure, and maintain robust Oracle data warehouse environments spanning New York and Virginia sites.Engineered Systems Management: Administer, patch, and optimize Oracle Exadata and Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) platforms for high throughput.High Availability & DR: Architect and manage multi-node Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and configure active/standby Oracle Data Guard across data centers for fault tolerance and disaster recovery.Performance Tuning: Proactively monitor, diagnose, and resolve bottlenecks using AWR, ADDM, ASH, and SQL execution plan optimizations to ensure sub-second response times.Environment Lifecycle Management: Oversee database cloning, schema refreshes, patching, and automated deployments across Dev, Test, and Production tiers.Backup & Security: Enforce enterprise backup strategies (RMAN), data encryption (TDE), access controls, and compliance policies across warehouse clusters.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: 6+ years of core Oracle Database Administration, with an emphasis on large-scale data warehouses.Engineered Systems: Demonstrated hands-on experience managing and patching Oracle Exadata and Oracle ODA.High Availability: Deep expertise in Oracle RAC installation, node scaling, and multi-region Oracle Data Guard / Active Data Guard.Tuning Mastery: Advanced skills in OS/database-level performance tuning, indexing strategies, partitioning, and SQL query optimization.Automation: Proficiency in shell scripting, Python, or Ansible for automated maintenance and deployments.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.Work Experience 7-10Years
