Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Build out their Application & UI Development capabilities
• Work side by side with business partners & technology platform managers to ensure expected quality software is built to serve our customers and clients
• Responsible for understanding the business requirements, to build/enhance application components to support the requirement enabling testing organization to certify the application and support technology infrastructure team in production deployment and transitioning to support team
• Learn the business and technical components of an application and work with their peers to follow enterprise software development methodologies

Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant IT development experience
• 3 years of experience in UI / UX (HTML5, CSS3, React JS, JQuery, Node.js, JavaScript)
• 5 years of experience in JAVA development
• Expertise in React JS framework to develop the SPA
• Knowledge of Spring, Spring MVC and Spring Batch strong core Java skills OR
• Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills, well organized, goal oriented
• Ability to grow their career in our dynamic and fast paced environment of diverse software platforms and challenging projects that shape the future of the banking industry
• Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities

Desired skills:

• Prior banking/finance experience of working with globally distributed teams
• Experience with Redux
• Experience in using React JS components, Forms, Events, Keys, Router, plus Redux, Animations and Flux concept Good Experience in React.js for creating interactive UI's using One-way data flow, Virtual DOM, JSX, React Native concepts
• Strong database background on one or more of these databases: MSSQL, Teradata, Oracle etc
• Familiar with creating Custom Reusable React Components Library
• Experience in building REST APIs (JAXRS/Swagger/YAML) technologies and development approaches
• Experience in Web Services technologies and development approaches.
• Basic Knowledge of XML & JSON schema and processing technologies
• Some Understanding of Core Java Patterns and J2EE design patterns
• Prior Scrum / Safe or Lean agile development experience
• Basic knowledge of source code management Git, Bitbucket, SVN etc.
• Knowledge of build tools and processes like Maven, Ant and others
• Working knowledge of build automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using tools like Jenkins, Ansible Tower and others
• Expertise in using IDE tools such as Atom, Notepad , Web Matrix, Eclipse, Sublime Text Editor, IntelliJ IDEA, or Web Storm
• UI Unit testing with Jasmine, Karma
• Able to contribute to Automation, System Analysis and Develop shared/common solutions Critical Skills/Niche Skills: ReactJS, JavaScript, CSS, HTML 5, SQL
• Ability to work effectively while working as a team member as well as individually
• Exhibit a strong sense of teamwork and inclusiveness
• Self-starter, motivated, innovative, capable of, providing technical solutions
• Adaptability and ability to work under pressure
