Description:

Diversified Systems is searching for a Technical Architecture Specialist who will primarily be responsible for developing and supporting web-based applications in Microsoft Technologies.

 

The candidate will support the agency''''s development efforts (enhancements and incident resolution), through Analysis, Design, development, testing, and documenting results using the Commonwealth''''s Microsoft Azure DevOps Services (ADS) environment, and by assisting in the preparation and publication of product release notes. He or she may be asked to develop test plans in the ADS environment to facilitate the end-user acceptance testing phase of product releases.

 

The candidate should have a high degree of patience, politeness, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. He or she should have a pleasant demeanor and will be in contact with individuals from all levels of the organization from clerical to executive. He or she may need to receive criticism and respond professionally.

 

 

Responsibilities:

Provides development and design efforts to meet user requirements.

Defines test plans and criteria for acceptance for the technical components of an application.

Ensures business requirements are supported by the technical solutions.

Participates in detailed design and product test execution as required.

Adheres to technical programming standards.

Communicates accurate and useful status updates.

Manages and reports time spent on all work activities.

Follows quality standards.

Able to work in a team environment.

Completes assigned tasks.

Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.

Anticipates and resolves issues specific to the team.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience preferred.

4-year college degree or equivalent technical study preferred.

5 years of experience developing complex applications. Required.

5 years of experience developing web applications using VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and .NET Core. Required.

5 years of demonstrated experience with ASP.NET Web API and ASP.NET Core Web API. Required.

5 years of demonstrated experience using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and modern UI/UX principles. Required.

5 years of demonstrated experience developing SOAP‐based and RESTful APIs. Required.

5 years of demonstrated experience working with SQL Server or a comparable relational database management system. Required.

3 years of demonstrated experience using SSRS and SSIS. Desired.

5 years of relevant experience using source code management tools. Required.

3 years of relevant experience using Application Lifecycle Management tools such as Azure DevOps Server (ADO/ADS) or JIRA. Highly desired.

1 year of understanding public safety and criminal justice concepts and related precautions. Desired.

1 year of understanding training and certification concepts. Desired.

1 year of understanding financial systems concepts. Desired.

1 year of exposure to Telerik .NET UI controls. Desired.

5 years of demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office applications. Required.
