: ABB Project Engineer / DCS Specialist

Responsibilities
System Engineering & Configuration: Developing control logic, creating HMI graphics, and configuring I/O lists based on P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams) using S+ Engineering tools.
Commissioning & Startup: Performing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), including loop checks, controller tuning, and functional testing.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Providing on-site or remote technical support to diagnose and resolve hardware/software malfunctions and system communication issues.
System Upgrades & Evolution: Managing the migration and modernization of legacy systems (like Bailey INFI 90 or Mod 300) to the Symphony Plus platform.
Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including, but not limited to, system configuration backups, cause-and-effect diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Client Collaboration: Consulting with customers to identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and security.
Skills and Qualifications
System Expertise: Deep knowledge of ABB DCS platforms, specifically Symphony Plus (S+), Harmony, and preferably 800xA.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming control logic (Function Code algorithms), HMI design, and networking protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC).
Education: Bachelor s degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
Experience: Generally, 3 10+ years of experience in DCS engineering, field service, or project execution.
Physical/Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with power plant, oil & gas, or chemical process operations.
