Position OverviewThe Billing Analyst II is responsible for supporting daily billing operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across billing workflows. This role works closely with finance, IT, and customer-facing teams to maintain data integrity, support audits, and implement system updates. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving regulatory and operational requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities- Monitor daily billing operations to ensure smooth system performance and promptly address disruptions.
- Generate and review billing batches, validating accuracy prior to processing.
- Partner with finance teams to reconcile billing data with revenue reports and month-end close activities.
- Conduct audits of customer accounts and billing processes to ensure integrity and transparency.
- Implement rate changes, taxes, and regulatory surcharges within the billing system as required.
- Ensure proper handling of sensitive customer data in alignment with internal data governance and cybersecurity standards.
- Maintain an updated internal knowledge base on billing technologies, processes, and best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Billing Management: Strong understanding of billing processes, workflows, and controls to ensure timely and accurate bill processing.
- Financial Reporting: Ability to support financial statement preparation and understand financial performance indicators.
- Billing Systems Management: Experience managing O2C (Order-to-Cash) billing systems, including automation, recurring invoices, and payment tracking.
- Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data, applying best practices, and utilizing statistical insights.
- Customer Service Management: Ability to support customer interactions, resolve issues, and contribute to positive customer experiences.
- Data Management: Skilled in data acquisition, validation, storage, protection, and processing.
- Communication Management: Able to plan, implement, monitor, and optimize communication channels within and across teams.
- Customer Relationship Management: Experience managing interactions and relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Issue Resolution: Able to identify issues, make decisions, mitigate risks, and drive timely resolutions.
- Contract Management: Experience supporting contract lifecycle tasks, including creation, execution, compliance, and renewals.
Education- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in billing, finance, or data operations.
