Cloud Delivery Engineer Infrastructure Job Description
Engagement:
- The engineer will assist senior architects in understanding business objectives, developing solution concepts, performing proofofconcepts, and implementing cloud technologies that improve delivery, automation, and operational efficiency

Cloud Delivery Analyst / Business Analyst | 1-3 years |
Knowledge of concepts of designing and developing dynamic Cloud solutions in Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services and moving parts involved in continuous integration and delivery. | 1-3 years |
Experience with Tooling and Automation to enable seamless automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration. | Highly Desirable |
Pipeline Design and Architecture to improve development flow and delivery. | Highly Desirable |
Solid understanding and skill with DevOps, web services and application programming interfaces (APIs) | 1-3 year |
Create, maintain, and troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure | Highly Desirable |
Foundational institutional knowledge of State of Michigan platforms, cloud architecture, security requirements and processes. | 1-3 year |

Core Tasks
- Support the build-out of multi-cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid cloud models.
- Help maintain and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure components.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
- Assist with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using automation tools.
- Participate in integrating cloud pipelines with existing DevOps systems.
- Document architecture decisions, pipeline configurations, and deployment procedures.
- Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and training activities.
- Maintain clear and organized technical documentation for onboarding and future reference.
- Support adherence to cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, PCI, etc.).
- Assist in implementing secure configurations and monitoring controls.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into cloud requirements.
- Participate in discussions with vendors, product specialists, and internal teams to evaluate technologies.
- Support enterprise architecture reviews and solution assessments.
- Assist with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of cloud workloads.
- Help design and test workload migrations and disaster recovery scenarios.
- Support integration of cloud services with on-premises technologies (VMware, Cisco, Dell, Nutanix, etc.).
- Leverage State of Michigan Institutional knowledge to cloud engineering projects
