This position is 4 days on-site and 1 day remote- No relocations-Must be local to New York area. Major apparel client is seeking a Sr. Director of Logistics. You will manage the logistics network encompassing wholesale, retail and e-commerce distribution. Optimize last-mile delivery, routing, inbound logistics, compliance, cost control, and operational excellence. Leverage data-driven decision-making and fostering innovation, You will enhance logistics operations and work collaboratively across departments to achieve strategic business objectives.
Lead global routing teams across six logistics centers. Develop and execute growth strategies, including capacity planning. Optimize network design to reduce costs and elevate delivery speed and scalability in both domestic and international markets. Integrate technology solutions for enhanced visibility.
Logistics Operations Planning-
Develop an existing team to manage transportation operations planning.
Warehouse Operations optimization- Lead the logistics Business intelligence team to provide operational insights for both domestic and international operations. Cost control, Inbound logistics network cost controls, Budget development.
Bachelors degree in supply chain mgmt,logistics or related field. 10 yrs plus exp in logistics, transportation or supply chain mgmt, with at least 5 yrs in a Sr Leadership role at a 500Mplus organization.
Proficient in TMS, routing software, logistics analytics tools.
In depth knowledge of logistics compliance with a focus on cost savings. Analytical and problem solving skills. Delegates effectively, empowering teams to execute objectives.
