IT Asset Analyst

Colorado Springs (onsite) - In person Interview

We are seeking an IT Asset Analyst to maximize the business value, security, and compliance of enterprise IT assets. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of hardware and/or software assets-from acquisition through retirement-while ensuring alignment with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity best practices.

The IT Asset Analyst serves as a subject matter expert in IT Asset Management (ITAM), partnering across IT, procurement, finance, security, legal, and business teams to optimize utilization, reduce risk, and support data driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and improve IT asset management strategies, policies, standards, and processes
  • Manage end to end asset lifecycle activities, including procurement, inventory tracking, upgrades, transfers, reclamation, retirement, and disposal
  • Maintain a comprehensive, accurate inventory of hardware and software assets; conduct audits and reconciliations
  • Ensure software license compliance, warranty tracking, contract adherence, and regulatory alignment
  • Support cost optimization efforts through license usage analysis, asset utilization reviews, reclamation, and waste reduction
  • Track lifecycle events such as end of life planning, renewals, refresh cycles, and warranty expirations
  • Provide reporting and analytics on asset usage, compliance status, financial forecasting, and risk
  • Collaborate cross functionally to align ITAM practices with organizational and business objectives
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and service level agreements
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and technology enhancements
  • Provide guidance, training, and support on ITAM tools and best practices
  • Ensure data privacy and cybersecurity controls are followed during disposal or decommissioning activities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management (hardware and/or software)
  • Understanding of software licensing models and compliance requirements
  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
  • Proficiency with asset management systems and tools
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and recommend solutions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build strong cross functional relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
    (Four years of related professional experience may substitute for a degree)
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT asset management, procurement, or lifecycle management
  • Experience managing enterprise hardware lifecycle processes and vendor relationships
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing or improving ITAM programs in environments with 5,000+ assets
  • Experience implementing asset management systems, audits, or large scale optimization initiatives
  • IT Asset Management certifications (CSAM, CHAMP, CITAM) preferred
