SOA Integration Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement SOA-based integration architectures aligned with enterprise standards.

• Develop and support web services, APIs, and message-based integrations.

• Build and maintain enterprise service buses (ESB) and middleware solutions.

• Define integration patterns, standards, and best practices.

• Integrate enterprise systems such as:

  • ERP (SAP, Oracle)

  • CRM systems

  • Legacy and third-party applications

• Ensure reliability, scalability, performance, and security of integrations.

• Troubleshoot and resolve integration, data flow, and performance issues.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders.

• Create and maintain technical design documents and integration specifications.

• Participate in system testing, cutover, and production support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SOA concepts and integration architectures.

• Experience with SOAP and REST web services.

• Hands-on experience with ESB / middleware platforms (e.g., Oracle SOA Suite, MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus, SAP PI/PO).

• Strong knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, JSON, and messaging standards.

• Experience with API management and service governance.

• Solid understanding of security standards (OAuth, SAML, SSL/TLS).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred / Desirable Skills

• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.

• Exposure to cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, MQ).

• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

• SOA / Integration platform certifications (preferred).
