2 days per week onsite requiredRole OverviewWe are seeking a mid-level Software Engineer with strong data engineering expertise to support a large-scale data platform serving multiple Corporate Administration (CAO) domains, including Corporate Properties, Supply Chain Management, and Corporate Security. This role focuses on designing and building robust data pipelines that ingest data from upstream systems and deliver it to downstream consumers.
The ideal candidate demonstrates technical depth in SQL, data modeling, and large-scale data processing, along with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, Agile environment. This engineer will help create capacity for senior leads by owning development tasks with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines that support cross-domain analytics and operational needs.
- Develop and maintain SQL-based solutions for data persistence, transformation, and delivery.
- Contribute to data modeling, data quality, and data design across large-volume datasets.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies within a Scrum team of ~10 engineers (including senior leads, data engineers, and automation engineers).
- Collaborate with technical leads to execute engineering deliverables and support next-generation platform initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex engineering issues in accordance with organizational standards, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with internal partners across Software Engineering and CAO-aligned domains.
Required Qualifications- 5-8 years of hands-on engineering experience.
- 6+ years of SQL expertise (advanced querying, optimization, data modeling).
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering or automation workflows.
- Proven experience working with large datasets, including data modeling, data design, and performance tuning.
Strong Plus- 1-2 years of cloud engineering experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
Nice to Have- Background working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Highly adaptable, proactive, and able to quickly learn new tasks with minimal dependency on leads.
Team Structure- Scrum team of approximately 10 members.
- 2 Senior Leads responsible for architecture and design.
- Mix of data engineers and automation engineers executing domain-specific deliverables.
