Certified Cloud Architect

Introduction:

The State of Wisconsin is looking for a Certified Cloud Architect to build long-term internal capabilities while operationalizing and enforcing the State’s newly updated Flaw Remediation (SI-2) Standard. This role involves transitioning the State from reactive, manual vulnerability management to an AI-accelerated, continuous authorization, and automated DevSecOps posture.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to CISOs, CIOs, or senior executive leaders
  • Mentor, train, and lead technical upskilling of infrastructure and security operations staff
  • Operationalize security controls and governance structures
  • Implement enterprise cyber stack tools and AI security frameworks
  • Architect cloud solutions and integrate DevSecOps practices
  • Work on Flaw Remediation (SI-2) Standard operationalization
  • Integrate AI capabilities and toolchain for automation
  • Develop governance safeguards and escalation automation
  • Collaborate with agency development teams for clean deployment architectures

Duration of the Contract: 1,800 Hours over 12 Months

Onsite or Remote: Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. This position can work 100% remote with occasional onsite visits 1-2 times required throughout the duration of the contract.

Project details include working with the State of Wisconsin, Department of Administration (DOA), Division of Enterprise Technology (DET), Bureau of Security (BOS) to implement the Accelerated Exposure Reduction Plan.
