Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and backend services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, REST APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and modern software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable applications using Python.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Work with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers.
• Integrate applications with third-party APIs and enterprise systems.
• Develop unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing frameworks.
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Implement application security, authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Deploy and support applications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and engineering standards.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and API development.
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated deployment processes.
• Experience with unit testing using PyTest, unittest, or similar frameworks.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of Celery, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
• Experience with React, Angular, or other frontend technologies is a plus.
• Exposure to machine learning, data engineering, or AI applications is an advantage.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
