Major Duties and Responsibilities- Understand the fundamentals of business intelligence reporting, including data sourcing, filtering, variable creation, historical maintenance, and data stewardship.
- Create detailed instructions and documentation for development teams related to BI initiatives and feature enhancements.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to define specifications for updates or changes to databases or master data.
- Support the Product Owner with data management activities, including data governance, data stewardship, and data quality.
- Perform data profiling and exploratory analysis to evaluate accuracy, completeness, and gaps prior to project work.
- Triage issue tickets and conduct root-cause analysis to determine solutions.
- Work with business and technical SMEs to utilize, enhance, and monitor data quality through development, testing, and production.
- Communicate issues clearly and work effectively toward deadlines.
- Maintain strong attention to detail while progressing efficiently through ambiguity.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement.
Required Qualifications- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- 2+ years of SQL experience, including the ability to write simple queries and read/interpret complex SQL.
- 1+ years of experience with Java and XML (basic understanding required).
- 2+ years of experience working with business intelligence environments, including data sourcing, profiling, and stewardship.
- 1+ years of experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams.
- Comfortable collaborating with large, diverse groups.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or communications field.
