Oversee all Low Energy and Low Carbon (green-house gas emissions) activities and assume responsibility for managing, reporting, and leading Low Energy and Low Carbon Projects for reduction of energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Oversee the site's Low Energy and Low Carbon initiatives for Carbon and Wheels & Brakes manufacturing facilities.
Serve as Low Energy and Low Carbon site coordinator, which includes: KPI reporting, data sharing, implementing initiatives, initiative progress reporting, collaborations with Safran Landing Systems (Safran LS) Low Energy and Low Carbon directors and other site Correspondents, preparing and presenting site progress reports, etc.
Identify and lead Low Energy / Low Carbon improvement projects / initiatives.
Lead Low Energy / Low Carbon Improvement-Projects Award program.
Work with Capital Projects team for management of funding for Low Energy / Low Carbon capital projects.
Lead the facilities to obtain the requirements that are needed to pass audits that are associated with Safran standards and obtain associated and required certifications.
Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ISO50001 certificate for energy management standards.
Lead effort to install and manage Energy Metering and Measuring System (EMMS), which includes associated centralized stand alone Power Management System and associated utility metering, developing energy consumption maximum targets and proactively meeting the targets. This will also be used to identify low energy / carbon projects.
Oversee Safran LS equipment shut-off procedures (ROGB program).
Perform other related duties as required.
Prepare presentations and present at global Low carbon Steerco meetings.
Attend and participate in Low Energy Steerco global meetings.
Individual site leader calls with Low Energy and Low carbon Directors for counseling, up-dates, etc.
Keep site Low Carbon Action Plant up to-date.
Provide and share projects at Energy Good Practice Sharing global meetings.
Lead Energy Sobriety compliance efforts.
Lead Energy Intensity program for monitoring and controlling consumptions.
Become Schneider Electric certified with-in one year of position acceptance.
Perform other related duties as required.

Candidate skills & requirements
Build strong and strategic working relationships within the local Safran LS departments (Central Engineering, Maintenance, Methods Engineering, Operations, Finance, etc.) and with personel from other Safran LS sites.
Coaching and on the-Job-Training (OJT) with Energy Ambassidors and other employees.
Decision Making to achieve long term Low energy and Low Carbon targets.
Planning and Organizing
BA/BS degree required. Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or advanced studies/degree preferred.
Experience with boilers, steam systems, compressors and associated systems, HVAC, cooling towers, motors, VFDs, electrical distributions systems, vacuum systems, energy management systems, energy monitoring systems, etc.
Technical/Leadership experience in related activities
Minimum of 3 years experience in the above mentioned areas.
