Workforce Specialist

TEKsystems is looking to bring on a Workforce Software SME.
The Workforce Subject Matter Expert (SME) acts as the bridge between legacy Human Capital Management (HCM) processes and the new SAP digital environment. This person will be responsible for ensuring that employee data, payroll rules, time tracking, and organizational structures are accurately mapped, migrated, and operational in S/4HANA, while also preparing the workforce for a new way of working. They will be working directly with their SI and head of PMO.
Translate labor rules (union, state, federal), attendance policies, shift differentials, premiums, and overtime into WFS configuration.
Define time-off/leave policies and accruals; align with EC/ECP for master data and payroll results.
Partner on interfaces: EC WFS (people/job data), WFS ECP/Payroll (time results).
Lead scenario definition and parallel testing (e.g., rules that affect pay, complex rosters, exceptions, holiday pay).
Troubleshoot calculation issues; tune exception management and manager workflows.
Key deliverables:
Rules/config documentation, decision logs for policy interpretations
Integration mapping (personnel areas, cost centers, pay codes, time types)
Test scenarios and expected results for parallel runs
Runbooks for time admin and manager workflows; exception handling guides

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
