We are seeking a talented Application Developer / Full Stack Developer to join the team of one of our exceptional clients. What will your day look like?
As an Application Developer, you will:
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document application features based on technical and business requirements.
- Work as a full-stack developer contributing to both backend services and frontend user interfaces.
- Build and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and enhance frontend components using React and Angular (with a focus on Angular-to-React migration).
- Collaborate within agile development squads alongside QA, product owners, DevOps, and engineering leadership.
- Integrate applications with AWS cloud services to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Support, enhance, and maintain existing applications in response to business needs.
- Participate in estimating work effort and tracking progress for project planning.
- Ensure application designs integrate cleanly with related systems.
- Troubleshoot issues across the application stack and provide high-quality customer support to end users.
- Document designs, code, and processes to support ongoing development and maintenance.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Codex, Cursor, GPT, Claude) to improve development efficiency and code quality.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and, when appropriate, assist with system design.
You will be a good fit for this role if you have:
- Approximately 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot (non-negotiable).
- Experience building frontend applications using React (priority) and/or Angular.
- Hands-on experience working in AWS environments (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, CloudWatch).
- Working knowledge of MySQL and the ability to write basic SQL queries.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD practices.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented and procedural programming concepts.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Nice-to-Haves
- AWS certifications (Practitioner minimum; Developer preferred; Solutions Architect a plus).
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases beyond basic querying.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Hands-on or working familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as Codex, Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT.
- Experience supporting or participating in frontend framework migrations (Angular to React).
