Summary

T he Department of Veterans Affairs Network Operations Center (NOC) defends, manages, and monitors the network operating status and cyber security posture of the VA by providing the day-to-day management, monitoring, operation s, and configuration of the Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) Gateways , the delivery of enterprise security systems and services, the conduct of threat and vulnerability analysis, the validation of adequate security controls within the enterprise , and the full range of functions across the spectrum of activities relating to incident management, incident response and enterprise network management. This is an on-site role.

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordinator/ Analyst Team: responsible for supporting, maintaining and , managing the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Enterprise Wide Area Network (WAN) through Capacity Management and Planning, Circuit Provisioning requests, Invoice reviews, and Mobility Services.
  • W ill directly communicate with Project Managers, Contract Management staff, Senior Engineering/ Technical p ersonnel, as well as other VA employees .
  • Manage specified project objectives , project constraints (scope, schedule, cost, quality, etc.), project risk, and coordinate with project manager and other resources as needed.
  • C ontribute to the planning, tracking and analysis of multiple projects through reporting detailed information, analyzing data in support of project cost/schedule status and following established procedures while contributing to the completion of circuit provisioning requests .
  • Res ponsible for reviewing the e nterprise invoices for multiple vendors to verify monthly costs , identify and initiate disputes , and make payment recommendations on purchase orders .
  • Assist with the development of standard operating procedures to establish compliance with the operational practices of the organization .
  • Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Power BI data analytics tool
  • Reports project progress to management.
  • Responsible for addressing employee and work-related issues relevant to the project effort.
  • Arranges logistics for meetings, conferences, training, and other project-related events.
  • Organizes project committee meetings and prepares the necessary materials, including reports, presentations, agendas and other meeting collateral.
  • Transcribes and records key decisions and action items resulting from meetings.
  • Must be capable of performing various financial analytics including forecasting and variance analysis
  • Gathers, compiles and reports on information relevant to the project.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Background Investigation : Must be able to pass a government Tier 4 High Background Investigation
