Summary
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced EDI Architect to design, develop, and implement Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions for seamless data exchange between business partners, customers, suppliers, and internal enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in EDI standards, integration architecture, mapping, trading partner onboarding, and enterprise application integration.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable EDI architecture solutions.
Lead EDI integration initiatives across ERP, CRM, supply chain, logistics, and other enterprise applications.
Define EDI standards, best practices, architecture patterns, and integration strategies.
Manage trading partner onboarding, EDI setup, testing, and implementation.
Develop and review EDI maps, translation rules, and data transformation processes.
Troubleshoot complex EDI transaction failures and resolve production issues.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, developers, and integration teams.
Ensure data integrity, transaction accuracy, security, and compliance.
Lead EDI modernization, migration, and automation initiatives.
Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and integration specifications.
Required Technical Skills
Strong experience with EDI standards: ANSI X12, EDIFACT.
Hands-on expertise with EDI transactions such as 850, 855, 856, 810, 820, 846, 940, 945, 997, and 999.
Experience with EDI integration platforms such as IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, OpenText, Gentran, Seeburger, or Cleo.
Strong knowledge of EDI mapping, translation, validation, and data transformation.
Experience with communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, FTP, and VAN.
Knowledge of APIs, XML, JSON, web services, and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience integrating EDI with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Strong understanding of security, encryption, certificates, and partner connectivity.
Experience with production support, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading enterprise-wide EDI architecture and integration projects.
Knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing, retail, logistics, or healthcare EDI processes.
Experience with cloud integration platforms and EDI modernization.
Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
