Senior Solution Architect (Loyalty & Referral Implementation)
Project Dates: ASAP - - 10/5/26 (~280 total hours).
Rate: $85/hr on C2C
Must-Have Skill: Hands-on Loyalty Management experience (Data Processing Engine / DPE experience highly preferred).
Location: Toronto, ON preferred (~20% on-site collaboration), but remote is open for the right Loyalty skill fit.
Role Summary
As the Senior Solution Architect, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and guiding the end-to-end architecture for the BMO InvestorLine Loyalty and Referral initiative.
You will leverage your deep expertise in Loyalty Management Systems and Data Processing Engines (DPE) to create a scalable, high-performing integration framework that powers customer engagement, reward tracking, and referral incentives across the wealth management ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities
• Architect Solution Blueprint: Lead the architectural design for Phase 1 of the Loyalty & Referral platform, establishing foundation patterns for Phase 2.
• Loyalty & Rules Engine Integration: Define data pipelines and integration patterns for loyalty accrual, redemption, tier status, and referral triggers using Data Processing Engines (DPE).
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with business stakeholders, product leads, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical blueprints.
• System Integration & Scalability: Ensure seamless API and data flow integration between BMO core banking/wealth platforms and the loyalty platform.
• Technical Governance: Drive adherence to security, compliance, data privacy, and architecture governance standards across the solution lifecycle.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Hands-on Loyalty Management Expertise: Proven track record designing, building, or implementing enterprise-level Loyalty and Referral management systems (Primary Skillset).
• Data Processing Engine (DPE) Experience: Hands-on experience architecting solution flows with high-volume, rules-based Data Processing Engines for real-time loyalty/event processing.
• Solution Architecture Mastery: 8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, preferably within Banking, Wealth Management, or Financial Services.
• Integration Expertise: Strong domain knowledge in RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, MQ), microservices, and modern cloud/data architectures
