Full Stack Engineer

Job title: Full Stack Engineer
Duration: 3+ months (likely to extend)
Location: Remote US

Responsibilities:

• Build responsive, accessible, and high-quality user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Design data flows and application architecture that support reliability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver features end to end.
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve bugs, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Contribute to technical planning, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement of development practices.
• Create and maintain automated tests across frontend and backend components.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimation, and iterative delivery.
• Stay current with modern web development practices and recommend improvements to tools and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack or web application development.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with Tailwind CSS or a comparable utility-first CSS framework.
• Experience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, browser behavior, and responsive design.
• Experience with backend development in at least one modern language or framework.
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases and common data modeling concepts.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Understanding of software testing principles and automated testing tools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Node.js, Express, NestJS, or a similar backend framework.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or another production database.
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and API security best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, containers, or observability tools.
• Knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query.
• Experience working with OpenAPI or similar API documentation standards.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience working in a product-focused Agile environment.
