NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Bureau of Reclamation through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in geographic information systems and geospatial data management OR MA/MS Degree in Water resources or natural resources with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in geographic information systems and geospatial data management

• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
• GIS software products from Esri, Inc., including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Image Server, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online

Duties:

Support development and implementation of a modern geospatial data management framework for Reclamation. Work includes contributing to Reclamation?s Remote Sensing Data Catalog (RSDC), designing and piloting geospatial data management workflows, supporting data management training, and informing cloud migration planning for Enterprise GIS system and related geospatial analytics environments.

• Review and inform RSDC application development 30%
• Review and inform RSDC requirements & remote sensing data management decision criteria 20%
• Design geospatial management workflows across platforms 20%
• Support RSDC training development and delivery 15%
• Support cloud migration planning for BORGIS and Azure Virtual Desktop configurations for geospatial analytics and imagery processing workflows 15%

Other:

• Overnight travel: 1 or 2 trips for 3-5 days each.
• Air travel anticipated: 1 or 2 trips (3-5 day duration)
