The MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Bell's MV-75 FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. Avionics Software Team
This Software Engineer is responsible for developing a set of Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Software Applications related to the control of air vehicle components for the Avionics software on the FLRAA program.
What you'll be doing as a Software Engineer:
Development of air vehicle IMA Software Applications
Development of High level and Low Level Requirements
SysML modeling of software design
Perform Configuration Management for developed software
Skills You Bring To this Role:
We are hiring at multiple levels of experience, with a minimum of 2+ years experience in developing embedded software, including hardware and software integration required. Aviation experience is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required. Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Other Engineering degrees may be considered with applicable experience.
Requires C or C++ experience in a Linux development environment
Requires familiarity with software DevOps processes.
Requires experience with Git version control system or change management systems.
Ability to gain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance
Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and work assignments
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
Demonstrated Communication Skills needed to brief management, customers, and/or large groups on an occasional basis.
