The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable, governed, and high-performing data platforms using Azure and Microsoft Fabric components such as OneLake, Data Factory (Fabric pipelines), Synapse Data Warehouse, and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
Design and architect end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Power BI.
Define and implement enterprise-scale data architectures leveraging OneLake and Fabric-native services.
Lead the migration of legacy data platforms (SQL Server, Synapse, ADF, on-prem data warehouses) to Microsoft Fabric.
Architect data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, notebooks, and pipelines.
Design and optimize Lakehouse and Warehouse models to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads.
Establish data Modeling standards (dimensional, medallion architecture bronze/silver/gold).
Ensure data governance, security, and compliance using Microsoft Purview, RBAC, and Fabric security features.
Drive performance tuning and cost optimization strategies within Microsoft Fabric.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
Provide architectural guidance for Power BI semantic models, ensuring high performance and reusability.
Implement CI/CD pipelines for Fabric assets using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
Mentor data engineers and BI developers on Fabric best practices and design patterns.
Evaluate and recommend best practices for enterprise metadata management and data quality.
Work closely with cloud, security, and platform teams to align Fabric solutions with enterprise standards.
