Job Details:
Our client is seeking a Senior Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer. In this role, you'll design and deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and lead the migration of complex applications from on premises environments to the cloud.
You'll work across application, infrastructure, and business teams to assess existing environments, shape migration strategies, and resolve technical challenges. This is an opportunity to apply your cloud engineering and automation expertise to modernize critical applications and platforms.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
Lead migrations of complex applications from on premises environments to Google Cloud Platform.
Assess application architectures, dependencies, and infrastructure to inform migration planning and execution.
Automate cloud provisioning and deployments using Terraform and related tools.
Apply cloud networking, security, governance, and compliance practices.
Partner with application, infrastructure, and business teams to troubleshoot migration and platform issues.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Six or more years of cloud engineering experience, including designing and operating cloud environments at scale.
Strong hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
Experience migrating complex applications from on premises environments to the cloud, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
Advanced Terraform skills and familiarity with Ansible and Git.
Strong knowledge of Linux, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Python automation, cloud networking, and security.
Experience applying DevSecOps practices.
Preferred: Experience with other cloud providers, such as AWS or Azure, and AI/ML platforms.
