Position: SAP Activate Project Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA Onsite / Travel (Expenses will paid)

Type of Employment: 12+ Months Contract

Open to Remote if candidate is open to customer office 1 or 2 weeks / month , expenses will be paid.

Role Description:

The SAP Activate Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of an SAP S/4HANA Upgrade Program using SAP Activate and Agile methodologies. This role is responsible for project governance, planning, stakeholder alignment, risk and financial management, cross-functional team leadership, quality assurance, compliance (SOX/ITGRC), testing oversight, and ensuring a successful cutover and go-live

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish project organization, governance, and operating models.
• Staff Scrum roles and cross-functional teams.
• Define project vision, business value objectives, KPIs, and quality gates.
• Lead Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Reviews, Retros.
• Well versed with CALM and all Activated methodology/ principles and guidelines should have implemented in previous projects
• Ensure adherence to SAP Activate phases.
• Develop and manage program plans, scope, milestones, risks, and budgets.
• Maintain status reports, RAID logs, MoMs, and documentation.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with functional, technical, and vendor teams.
• Communicate with leadership and steering committees.
• Identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, IT GRC.
• Maintain audit documentation.
• Proven record as an agent of change capable of building and motivating high-performing organizations
• Implement quality assurance processes and gates.
• Oversee FUT, SIT, UAT, and Regression test cycles.
• Ensure readiness checks and simplification impacts.
• Manage sizing, capacity planning, sandbox evaluation.
• Govern defect lifecycle and test sign-offs.
• Lead technical upgrade planning and execution.
• Conduct impact analysis and preparation.
• Drive cutover planning, simulations, and downtime optimization.
• Manage hyper care and stabilization.
• Primary stakeholder contact.
• Lead governance meetings and reviews.
• Support OCM, training, and adoption tracking.
• Maintain strong business relationships.

Requirements:

• At least 10+ years in SAP project management
• Must have worked in core SAP module as functional/technical consultant
• SAP Activate Certification mandatory.
• -5+ implementations, 3+ upgrades.
• Experience with GRC, SOX, IT Controls, Security.
• Strong financial and compliance knowledge.
• Multi-regional delivery experience.
