eCommerce Technical Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking an eCommerce Technical Lead in Fort Lauderdale, FL with strong expertise in Marketing Technology to spearhead the development, architecture, and data infrastructure of our digital commerce platform.

Summary:
In this role, you will lead our engineering team while serving as the primary architect for our data collection systems. The ideal candidate will combine deep web development capabilities with expert-level knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch (Tags), and Google Analytics to ensure a high-performing storefront backed by robust, compliant, and accurate tracking data.

Responsibilities:
* Architecture & Development: Architect scalable features, write clean code, and oversee frontend/backend performance optimizations for the core eCommerce platform
* MarTech & Tag Management: Design, deploy, and maintain data collection strategies within Adobe Launch (AEP Tags); Program custom extensions, data elements, and rule structures to trigger tag events
* Analytics Implementation: Own end-to-end telemetry execution for Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics (GA4) via a centralized, scalable event-driven Data Layer
* System Integration: Oversee secure API and webhook connections between the storefront and core systems (ERPs, CRMs, OMS, and payment gateways) alongside downstream customer data platforms (CDP/AEP)
* Technical Leadership & QA: Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and use specialized debugging tools to validate web analytics tracking accuracy; Enforce strict data privacy standards (GDPR/CCPA) and cookie consent frameworks

REQUIREMENTS:
eCommerce Core:
* 5+ years of dedicated development experience on enterprise commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce/Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or Headless architectures)
* Proficient in modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, PHP, or Liquid/Ruby)

Analytics & Tagging Expertise:
* Direct hands-on experience configuring Adobe Launch (AEP Data Collection Web SDK and Edge Network)
* Advanced proficiency writing custom JavaScript within tag management systems to parse and validate complex data payloads
* Expert-level understanding of both Adobe Analytics (SDR design, custom eVars, props, and success events) and Google Analytics 4 (custom dimensions, parameters, and recommended event structures)

Leadership Traits:
* Agile/Scrum sprint planning experience
* Exceptional ability to translate complex data and technical requirements to business stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
