Project Overview
The cybersecurity organization is responsible for securing enterprise cloud infrastructure and performing continuous threat monitoring and incident response. This role supports the protection, detection, and response capabilities across cloud environments while aligning with organizational policies and industry best practices.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in cyber threat response, cloud platforms, and cloud security architecture and is comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced environments.
Position Summary
The Cloud Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats across enterprise cloud environments. This role partners with stakeholders to help architect, build, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure while driving improvements in cloud security monitoring and incident response maturity.
The position requires a highly organized, independent professional capable of managing complex security initiatives, challenging existing processes, and driving efficiency through innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Threat Detection & Incident Response
Identify, analyze, and respond to security threats affecting cloud environments
Investigate and remediate security incidents and compliance policy violations
Support continuous monitoring and incident response processes
Cloud Security & Risk Management
Perform risk analysis for cloud-based systems and applications
Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on cloud infrastructure
Assess cloud and hybrid architectures and provide security recommendations
Serve as a primary point of contact for cloud security-related matters
Security Assessments & Monitoring
Perform cloud security posture assessments using native cloud security tools
Identify security gaps and ensure remediation actions are implemented
Assist with compliance monitoring and enforcement efforts
Documentation & Reporting
Create and maintain documentation for security processes, assessments, and test results
Update documentation as threat tactics and techniques evolve
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to management and business stakeholders
Collaboration & Advisory Support
Partner with technical and business teams to advance cloud security initiatives
Provide security requirements and consultation for critical projects
Raise organizational awareness of cloud security best practices
Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in cyber threat monitoring, detection, response, and incident handling
Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and cloud-specific attack vectors
Experience with vulnerability management and remediation in cloud environments
5+ years of IT experience working with Windows, Linux, cloud technologies, or web-based applications
Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, and Kali Linux
Preferred Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred; AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform acceptable)
Experience with cloud security platforms such as Prisma Cloud, Dome9, or similar tools
Experience with cloud governance tools, CASBs, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Experience designing and deploying cloud inspection architectures
Full-stack deployment experience

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
