Job Title: Project Manager (Application Development)

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract to Hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage application development projects within an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering multiple small to mid-sized projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Define project strategy, roadmap, and business/technical requirements
• Lead end-to-end execution of application development projects
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams, including Agile teams and business units
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, project teams, and end users to define solutions
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within cost, scope, and quality targets
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues when necessary
• Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and leadership
• Manage project changes and maintain proper documentation
• Collaborate with Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) for process alignment
• Support and mentor other project teams and PMO staff as needed
• Utilize Agile and PPM tools to track progress, productivity, and performance

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong Project Management experience in Agile environments
• Proven experience managing application development projects
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in IT or application development
• Experience with both Agile and traditional project management methodologies
• SAFe environment experience is a plus
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or other Project Management certifications preferred
