Description Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) SME / Identity Platform ConsultantDiscovery, Documentation & Migration Assessment EngagementOverviewOur client is seeking a senior-level Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) Subject Matter Expert to lead a focused discovery, documentation, and migration assessment engagement within an existing enterprise identity management environment.
This is not a deployment, implementation, or engineering build role. The primary objective is to analyze, document, assess, and provide recommendations for a production MIM environment that currently lacks sufficient internal knowledge transfer and documentation.
The ideal consultant will have extensive hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Identity Manager in production environments and be comfortable independently reverse-engineering complex identity management configurations without relying on existing documentation or internal subject matter experts.
The consultant will work closely with Enterprise Platforms, Infrastructure, and IT Architecture teams to create comprehensive documentation, evaluate operational risks, and develop a roadmap for eventual migration to Microsoft Entra ID Inbound Provisioning
Requirements - Expert-level Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) 2016 experience
- Hands-on administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of MIM environments
- Experience with MIM Synchronization Service and MIM Service/Portal
- Ability to document management agents, run profiles, metaverse schema, and attribute flows
- Experience supporting MIM integrations with Active Directory
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity environments
- Ability to independently assess and reverse-engineer undocumented systems
- Strong documentation and knowledge transfer skills
- Experience creating operational, support, and recovery documentation
- Ability to provide recommendations for migration from MIM to Entra ID Inbound Provisioning
Preferred:
- Oracle HCM integration experience
- Experience with Oracle connectors for MIM
- Experience migrating from MIM to Entra ID Inbound Provisioning
- Experience with Entra Connect (Azure AD Connect)
- Prior consulting experience in enterprise identity management environments
