Job Summary: The candidate will provide expertise and support in multiple key areas including client management, operational efficiency, resource planning/coordination, quality assurance, scheduling, engineering effort estimation, capital cost estimation, staff/cost forecasting, proposal preparation, effort hour metric interpretation, and more.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure efficient planning and use of engineering resources
  • Monitor and facilitate timely delivery of project deliverables
  • Calibrate deliverables to an appropriate level required by Salas O'Brien standards and project needs
  • Manage client, supplier, and subcontractor expectations and coordination
  • Develop, interpret, and maintain effort hour metrics

  • Ensure timely project kick-off meetings, SMACC reviews, project close-out meetings, and project reporting
  • Collaborate on and support weekly resource planning
  • Engineering project scope management
  • Cost forecasting
  • Facilitate effective communication and information exchange among the project team, including the owner, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors

  • Support and execute conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering and/or Management
  • 5+ years' experience in engineering (preferably related to construction or heavy industrial)
  • Excellent communication skills, highly organized, detail-oriented, and a positive attitude
  • Minimal travel is required
  • Able to lift 26 pounds and ascend industrial structures unaided
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Valid driver's license
