What you'll be doing

US Chief Administrative Officer/Technology, Data, and AI (CAO/TDAI) delivers operational excellence by managing technology and operations that keep CIBC running smoothly. As part of the Governance & Oversight (G&O) Team - A First Line Control group within the Three Lines of Defense model, you'll help empower CIBC's Reporting Framework and support the Bank's Transformation and growth.

Your primary responsibility will be to create and support the reporting needs of various lines of business (LOBs) within US CAO/TDAI. This position involves working with our internal partners and G&O Reporting team to deliver insightful business reporting as well as finding ways to streamline and automate complex processes with the help of the latest BI automation tools. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming data into valuable insights that drive decision-making.

  • Reporting ownership - You thrive when you're empowered to take the lead, go above and beyond, and deliver accurate reporting results.
  • Leveraging Technology - Utilize Reporting Applications, such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, etc. to build reporting for senior leadership around governance, risk, & controls.
  • Stakeholder Engagement- Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple departments to learn their business processes and data needs.
  • Data Governance - Be an ambassador for strong data governance throughout the organization by promoting and adhering to established data governance policies.

Who you are
  • You have a degree/diploma in business, information systems/science, data analytics, risk management. A minimum 1-3 years of experience in financial services reporting and providing business insights. You have proven experience in reporting and analytics, a strong understanding of reporting best practices, and proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, or other industry standard BI tools.
  • You are a strong communicator. Stellar interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and problem-solving skills, including effective engagement with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • You are self-driven and self-sufficient. You take ownership, are self-directed and self-driven with strong analytical, logical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $75,000- $90,000 USD for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position (salary range varies based on the location which will be discussed at the time of the interview). The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
