The Prototype Build Engineer will be responsible for managing all prototype build activities including developing and communicating build plans based on vehicle specifications, coordinating purchasing, tracking development, and program timing for parts. In addition, this individual will be responsible for leading multiple teams to ensure all program deliverables are met and any issues affecting build quality, engineering design, manufacturing process, and timing are resolved. The Prototype Build Engineer must have the ability to direct issue resolution at all levels.
Experience RequiredBachelor of Science in Mechanical/Aero/Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering degree is preferredCandidates must possess a strong mechanical engineering foundation with exposure to the following areas: Engineering Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Success Factor.Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in automotive, aerospace fieldBasic vehicle build process knowledgeFluency in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong leadership and excellent communication skillsMust be comfortable with preparing presentations and presenting to all levelsFormula SAE experience or relevant automotive internship experience is preferred for entry level candidatesThis opportunity is well-suited for a recent engineering graduate or an early-career engineer seeking hands-on experience in prototype vehicle builds.
