We're seeking an accomplished Android Engineer to join our growing mobile development team in Irvine, CA. In this role, you'll have a direct impact on building brand new features and enhancing the Apartments.com mobile experience used by millions of renters nationwide. You'll work at the intersection of innovation and scale, using the latest Android technologies to create fast, intuitive, and beautiful experiences that help renters find their next home effortlessly.

As part of a collaborative Agile team, you'll design and develop high-quality Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern architectural patterns. You'll work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver clean, maintainable, and performant code. Your work will help shape the future of Apartments.com's mobile ecosystem, driving customer engagement and satisfaction through continuous improvement and experimentation.

This position is located in Irvine and is in office Monday through Thursday with work from home on Friday

Responsibilities
  • You will develop Android applications that scale to reach millions of users
  • You will continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar's technology platform and development practices
  • Work with the team to create user interface layouts for customers and interfaces to backend web services
  • Design and develop systems and libraries that are highly reusable and maintainable
  • Understand CoStar's product architecture and frameworks and come to the table with your ideas
  • Collaborate with different teams along with other Android developers to exchange new ideas and improvements

Basic Qualifications
  • You have 4+ years' experience developing Android applications
  • Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers
  • You are an expert in everything Android - JAVA, Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, Layout Editor and are always interested in learning more and sharing your skills
  • You know all the common Object Oriented Programming and design patterns, MVI, MVVM, Dependency Injection and more.

  • You understand how to turn ideas and code into the perfect customer experience

This position offers a base salary range of $98,000-$164,00, based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
