Looking for Data Architect – Databricks & Snowflake

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect / ETL SME with strong expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Data Warehousing. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and modernization of scalable data platforms while providing architectural guidance for data integration, analytics, and reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data architecture leveraging Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-native technologies.
• Lead data warehouse modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Define data models, data integration patterns, metadata management, and governance standards.
• Architect and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, BI developers, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Establish best practices for data quality, security, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
• Support real-time, batch, and streaming data architectures.
• Mentor technical teams and provide architectural leadership across multiple projects.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, ETL Development, and Data Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, and Delta Lake.
• Extensive expertise in Snowflake architecture, administration, data modeling, and performance optimization.
• Strong ETL/ELT experience using tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, Matillion, or similar.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and data pipeline development.
• Experience designing Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW), Data Lakes, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schema, and data vault concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience implementing data governance, lineage, and data quality frameworks.

Business Intelligence (BI) Skills

• Strong experience supporting enterprise BI and analytics solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik.
• Ability to design semantic layers, reporting frameworks, KPIs, and executive dashboards.
• Experience optimizing datasets and reporting performance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI/ML and Generative AI data platforms.
• Experience with DBT, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or AWS Glue.
• Knowledge of real-time streaming technologies such as Kafka or Spark Streaming.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional.
• Snowflake SnowPro Certification.
• Experience in Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, or Manufacturing domains.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
