F-35 Software Systems Engineer
The Opportunity :

As a leader in systems engineering, we're looking for you to solve complex sof t war e system challenges and shape the integration and development of the nation's most advanced fighter aircraft, the F-35. You recognize the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to integrate a user-focused solution. We're looking for an experience d systems engineer like you who knows how to implement efficient and effective sof t war e, from vision to production-ready system, in an exciting, agile environment, to ensure our team releases the best F-35 possible.

Using your sof t war e expertise, you'll analyze the environment to ensure that your team's solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You'll support the development of F-35 sof t war e and the integration of subsystems and new capabilities, including design, development, test, and implementation. You'll share your skills as your team utilizes new tools and techniques while helping to identify and implement system improvements.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in systems or avionics engineering, or with design and implementation of sof t war e using agile sof t war e development principles
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and participating in or leading the NAVAIR SETR process
  • Experience with SysML models and source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications
  • Experience developing or acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
  • Experience with developing Interface Control Documentation to enhance internal and external communication
  • Experience mentoring or supervising employees within a collaborative, cross-functional sof t war e development team environment
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and system engineering practices
  • Ability to independently think, plan and work at both a tactical and strategic level, and integrate MBSE into the Agile sof t war e development cycle Agile met hodology, extreme programming, sof t war e engineering, product management, and sof t war e products
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or technology field


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Jira, Java, Python, C#, C / C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal
  • Experience with sof t war e estimation met hodologies including SEER SEM or similar
  • Experience with model driven development and UML
  • Experience in a systems engineering or related technical position
  • Experience with a DoD ACAT II or larger acquisition program office and system engineering practices
  • Knowledge of administration of CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Sof t war e Engineering, or related degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
