Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will execute systems and software engineering processes starting from high level system requirements, product requirements allocation, and product software design through software implementation, integration and verification. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of systems and/or software engineering process, Linux operating system, the Java programming language, algorithm and software development and software test. Willing to travel offsite.

This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent (engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses).

-Proficient in the Java programming language.

-Proficient with the Linux Operating System.

This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills

-Familiar with database technologies such as Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL, Sybase or Firebird would be a plus.

-Familiar with Agile Product Development.

-Familiar with Automated Test Frameworks, such as: Robot Framework.

-Familiar with DevSecOps Technologies.

-Familiar with Display technologies such as React or JavaFX.

-Experience with software modeling.

-Willing to travel.

-Proven leadership experience.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
