About the RoleIn this role, you will contribute to high-impact engineering initiatives that support large-scale cyber risk automation and AI-driven threat-modeling capabilities. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain reliable systems, while providing technical expertise on complex engineering challenges.
You will analyze multifaceted technical problems, evaluate ambiguous or unprecedented scenarios, and help shape long-term engineering strategies. This role also involves consulting with client stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with technical, compliance, and operational requirements.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain Java-based backend services and APIs that power AI-enabled threat modeling and cyber-risk automation workflows.
- Build full-stack features, spanning backend services, orchestration layers, and UI components using Spring Boot/Spring Cloud and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
- Develop scalable microservices, event-driven architectures, and data-processing pipelines for ingesting and analyzing cybersecurity artifacts.
- Translate cybersecurity requirements, risk-scoring logic, and research guidance into robust, maintainable software components.
- Integrate backend systems with AI/ML models, feature stores, and inference services to enable automated threat analysis and decision support.
- Operationalize cyber-risk scoring frameworks, secure-coding checks, and policy-driven logic into deterministic and AI-assisted workflows.
- Partner with engineering leaders, researchers, and client stakeholders to guide architectural decisions and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or more of the following: industry experience, consulting, military service, training, or education.
- Strong experience with Java, distributed systems, and microservice architectures.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and cloud-native development.
