AI/Data Governance Analyst

Description

We are looking for an AI/Data Governance Analyst to join our team in Pennsylvania on a contract basis with the potential for a long-term opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who brings deep experience in technology financial oversight, vendor coordination, and data-driven reporting within complex enterprise environments. The position will support governance activities tied to IT spend, contracts, and operational analysis while partnering with cross-functional teams to improve visibility and control.

Responsibilities:
Oversee financial tracking for technology-related spending, including budget-to-actual comparisons, accrual validation, and investigation of cost variances.
Partner with procurement and business stakeholders to monitor purchasing activity, vendor commitments, and contract-related financial obligations.
Coordinate contract review timelines, renewal planning, and supporting documentation in collaboration with legal and procurement teams.
Build and maintain reporting models, reconciliations, and performance summaries using advanced spreadsheet analysis and enterprise financial data.
Analyze spend patterns and portfolio-level trends to support governance decisions and improve financial transparency across IT initiatives.
Use tools such as SQL, SAP, BusinessObjects, and BI platforms to extract, validate, and present data for operational and financial review.
Support contract and spend tracking within enterprise systems and help ensure records remain accurate, complete, and audit-ready.

Requirements

10-12 years of experience in IT financial planning and analysis, IT portfolio finance, procurement operations, or a closely related function.
Proven ability to manage budget versus actual reporting, accrual assessments, and resolution of financial discrepancies in a technology spending environment.
Solid understanding of procurement processes, including vendor agreements, statements of work, pricing documentation, and contracting workflows.
Experience working directly with procurement and legal partners to support contract reviews, renewals, and compliance-related coordination.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including reconciliation methods, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
Hands-on experience with enterprise financial or procurement systems such as Oracle, Coupa, SAP, or similar platforms.
Working knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools such as Microsoft SQL, BusinessObjects, and business intelligence applications.
Familiarity with Google Workspace, including Sheets, Drive, and Gmail, is preferred.
