Description:
· Troubleshooting, programming changes, operational & migration support of Avaya CS1000, NEC SV8000, SBC and Genesys pure-connect systems.
· Preparation of documentation related to the assessment, design, implementation, and operational support of the legacy voice infrastructure and the current Cisco voice networks.
· Assist with the preparation and installation of the Cisco voice network infrastructure.
· Assist with the coordination and integration of new Cisco voice system with existing site telephony systems such as Avaya CS1000, Avaya Session Manager, Oracle SBC & NEC SV8000 systems.
· Provide network implementation / production cutover services outside of normal business hours, as required.
· Provide technical direction / assistance to Voice Network Specialists
· Develop an understanding of the current Health Care standards related to the Cisco voice network equipment installation / configuration / operations
· Ensure all voice network activities comply with healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, regional health authority policies).
· Coordinate closely with clinical operations, hospital IT, and biomedical engineering teams to minimize disruption to patient care during voice system upgrades or cutovers.
· Validate interoperability between voice systems and critical healthcare applications such as nurse call systems, emergency communication platforms, and clinical alerting systems.
· Support high‑availability voice infrastructure required for 24/7 clinical environments, including emergency departments and acute care units.
· Participate in healthcare change‑control processes, risk assessments, and downtime planning for voice‑related maintenance.
· Maintain clear, audit‑ready documentation to support healthcare compliance, incident review, and operational continuity.
· Assist in lifecycle planning for legacy telephony systems to ensure smooth transition to modern Cisco voice platforms across healthcare facilities.
