We are seeking an experienced AI Data Governance Specialist to lead governance initiatives for AI/ML data across enterprise platforms. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality, compliant, and trustworthy data pipelines that power advanced analytics and machine learning solutions within a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement AI data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
Oversee AI/ML data lifecycle including ingestion, labeling, feature engineering, and model training
Ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance across enterprise data platforms
Conduct bias assessments and responsible AI reviews
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to drive governance adoption
Manage and optimize data cataloging and metadata management tools
Lead cross-functional discussions and governance workflows
Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and AI governance standards

Required Skills & Experience:

10–15 years of experience in data governance / data stewardship
3–5 years of experience supporting AI/ML data environments
Strong knowledge of AI/ML pipelines and MLOps tools (MLflow, Azure ML, SageMaker, Databricks)
Experience with data governance tools (Collibra, Atlan, Alation, Informatica)
Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift)
Strong understanding of data lineage, data quality, and metadata management
Working knowledge of SQL and Python
Experience with feature stores, model registries, and data versioning

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Retail / Supply Chain domain
Strong understanding of Responsible AI and regulatory compliance
Proven ability to drive process improvements and governance adoption

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving AI environment
