AI Tech-Functional Lead (Remote)

What You'll Do:

Strategic Leadership

• Define and evolve the AI opportunity pipeline, prioritizing initiatives based on business value and technical feasibility
• Develop and maintain the AI maturity roadmap from exploration to enterprise-scale adoption
• Own the business case and ROI tracking for all AI initiatives
• Present findings and recommendations to C-level stakeholders

Stakeholder Alignment

• Serve as the primary interface between client leadership and Nisum's technical team
• Facilitate workshops to identify high-value AI use cases across SDLC, operations, and business processes
• Build consensus across business, product, and technology teams
• Manage expectations and communicate progress transparently

Backlog Ownership & Delivery

• Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements
• Prioritize and manage the AI initiative backlog using agile methodologies
• Define success metrics and KPIs for each AI use case
• Conduct build vs. buy analysis for AI tools and platforms

Technical Oversight

• Guide the offshore team in AI/ML solution design and implementation
• Ensure alignment between AI prototypes and enterprise architecture standards
• Validate technical approaches for GenAI, AIOps, and automation initiatives
• Review and approve governance frameworks and deployment standards

What You Know:

Technical Background

• 7+ years in technology consulting or enterprise software delivery
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, LLMs, Agentic solutions and GenAI applications
• Experience with AIOps platforms and DevOps/MLOps practices
• Experience building, launching and improving products with AI
• Knowledge of enterprise AI governance, security, and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and AI/ML services

Business & Strategy

• Proven track record of translating business problems into technical solutions
• Experience building business cases with clear ROI metrics
• Strong understanding of SDLC optimization, test automation, and process improvement
• Background in financial services, insurance, or retail preferred

Stakeholder Management

• Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience presenting to executive leadership and influencing decision-making
• Ability to build trust and credibility quickly in client environments
• Skilled at managing ambiguity and navigating organizational complexity

Methodology

• Expert in Agile/Scrum methodologies with Product Owner or similar certification
• Experience running innovation labs, Centers of Excellence, or transformation programs
• Proficient with tools like Jira, Confluence, and collaboration platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI-powered automation tools (code generation, test automation, documentation)
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM optimization techniques
• Background in enterprise change management
• Published thought leadership or speaking experience on AI topics

Education:

• MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

Compensation Band:

$140 - $145K per annum
