Agentic AI Machine Learning Engineer
Willingness to work onsite 1-3 days/week in Washington, DC, Alexandria, VA, Annapolis Junction, MD, Arlington, VA, McLean, VA.

Responsibilities:
• Design, create, and implement complete AI systems that transform client operations and enhance data accessibility
• Build mission-oriented machine learning solutions capable of handling fast-moving data, scaling with infrastructure, and expanding based on evolving requirements
• Ensure solutions consider the broader ecosystem, operating environment, and future enhancements
• Deepen skills in software engineering, MLOps, and deployment of AI and ML models into various mission environments
• Evaluate LLM performance and build observation layers for stakeholders using tools such as Grafana, Langfuse, LangSmith, or Phoenix
• Connect AI agents to APIs, cloud platforms, or databases and evaluate architectural tradeoffs for scalable service-based applications
• Work effectively within cloud environments like AWS and Azure
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience as an ML engineer building production-grade ML solutions, including work involving LLMs, agents, or automation frameworks
• 3+ years of experience in data science or data research, including model training and deployment across multiple data modalities
• 3+ years working in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure
• 2+ years deploying and integrating ML models using Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools
• Experience with Large Language Models, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI, or llamaindex
• Experience connecting agents to APIs, cloud platforms, or databases
• Ability to evaluate architectural tradeoffs and design scalable, robust service-based applications
• Bachelor’s degree required; Secret clearance eligibility required
Nice to Have:
• Experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, llama.cpp, or vLLM
• Client engagement and project management experience
• Background in deep learning, computer vision, NLP, or signal processing
• Experience deploying data brokering solutions such as Kafka, Red Panda, Confluent
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
