Title: Sr. Salesforce Architect-Application Integration
Location: 100% Remote/ US (Central or Eastern time zone preferred)
Duration: 12 Months Contract.
Job Description:
Architecture & solution design
• Own the end-to-end Salesforce architecture across Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing and Financial Services Cloud, from discovery through go-live.
• Translate business goals — faster customer onboarding, 360° customer view, service deflection — into scalable data models and solution designs.
• Set org strategy, environment and release management, and technical-debt guardrails.
Application integration
• Design integration architecture between Salesforce and core business systems — ERP, billing, payments, data platforms and, for financial clients, core banking and loan origination.
• Choose the right pattern for each flow: real-time APIs, event-driven (Platform Events, Change Data Capture), batch/ETL or middleware orchestration.
• Lead API-led design on MuleSoft (or equivalent iPaaS), including API contracts, error handling, retries, idempotency and monitoring.
• Define identity and access integration (SSO, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML) across customer and staff channels.
Security, compliance & data
• Build security, privacy and auditability into every design: sharing model, field-level encryption (Shield), event monitoring and data retention.
• Partner with compliance teams on regulatory requirements and vendor risk reviews.
• Drive data migration, data quality and master-data strategy across systems of record.
Leadership & client engagement
• Act as the trusted technical advisor to client CIOs, CTOs and business sponsors.
• Support pre-sales: scope solutions, size effort, write technical proposals and present architectures.
• Lead design reviews, mentor developers and admins, and enforce coding and integration standards.
Must-have qualifications
• 10+ years in enterprise application development or architecture, including 6+ years hands-on with Salesforce.
• Led architecture on at least 3 full-lifecycle Salesforce implementations, ideally in multi-cloud or multi-org setups.
• Deep expertise in application integration: REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce APIs (Bulk, Streaming, Pub/Sub), Platform Events, Change Data Capture and Named Credentials.
• Hands-on with at least one integration platform: MuleSoft (preferred), Boomi, Informatica, Azure Integration Services or similar.
• Strong Salesforce platform depth: data modelling, Apex, LWC, Flow, sharing and security model, governor limits and large-data-volume design.
• Proven record designing secure integrations with sensitive data: encryption, OAuth 2.0, SSO and audit trails.
• Comfortable owning conversations with executives and translating technical trade-offs into business impact.
• Experience with DevOps for Salesforce: Git, CI/CD, scratch orgs or DevOps Center, Copado or Gearset.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
Good to have

Experience with credit unions, community banks or other regulated financial institutions is preferred but not required. Strong candidates from other industries who bring some of the skills below are welcome.

• Integration with core banking and fintech platforms such as Jack Henry (Symitar, SilverLake), Fiserv (DNA, XP2), FIS, Corelation KeyStone, Temenos, nCino, MeridianLink or Q2.

• MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or Platform Architect.
