Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on forklifts
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and brake systems
- Interpret technical manuals to complete repairs accurately
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and safety concerns
- Repair and maintain mast systems and attachments
- Perform tire changes and brake repairs
- Work on LP gas and electric-powered forklifts
- Conduct battery maintenance, washing, and testing
- Replace defective parts and order replacements when needed
- Reassemble equipment and ensure safe, efficient operation
- Perform safety inspections prior to returning equipment to service
- Maintain clean, organized work areas
- Complete service logs and maintenance documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Stay up to date on new technologies and maintenance techniques
Qualifications (Needed)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of forklift maintenance or related experience
- Experience in manufacturing and/or food processing environments preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of industrial electricity (up to 480V preferred)
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screen
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to pass forklift written and driving exams
- Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial equipment safely
