Job Summary:
Design and implement world-class manufacturing solutions that transition cutting-edge robotics products from concept to production at scale, driving quality excellence across global supply chains.
Key Job Responsibilities:
pply Design for X (DFX) principles to transition autonomous robotic solutions and mechatronic systems from design to production
Develop and qualify suppliers while managing product lifecycle changes across complex global supply chains
Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects and drive technical root cause analysis for supplier defects
Design and develop manufacturing test solutions for consumer electronics and robotics systems
Implement best-in-class manufacturing systems for scalability, focusing on gearbox assembly, stator winding, rotor manufacturing, and motor integration
Collaborate with design teams globally to influence product designs and ensure manufacturability at scale
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, computer science, or a related engineering field.
5+ years of experience performing Manufacturing Engineering principles such as, DFX, and FMEA in new product introduction.
Proficient in hardware failure root cause analysis and leading corrective and preventive actions.
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical quality issues.
Strong process improvement mindset for agile environments with a passion for manufacturing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work in highly ambiguous environments and make informed decisions in real-time
Preferred Skills:
Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical components common in robotics (e.g., robotic arms, control panels, cables, motors, PCBAs, metal fabrication, gears/bearings, sensors, vision systems).
Multi-industry and/or consulting experience in applicable industries (Automotive, Aerospace, Medical Device, Consumer Electronics, etc.). Startup experience is a plus.
Experience with statistical data analysis.

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you''ll work at the intersection of innovation and production, transforming ambitious robotics designs into manufacturable products. You''ll partner with cross-functional teams across Client globally, from mechanical and electrical engineers to supply chain partners, ensuring our next-generation robotics systems meet the highest quality standards.
Your day might include:
Reviewing design specifications with product teams and providing DFX feedback to optimize manufacturability
Conducting supplier assessments and capability studies at contract manufacturer facilities
Leading failure analysis investigations and implementing corrective actions for quality issues
Developing test fixtures and validation protocols for new product introductions
Collaborating with international teams across Seattle, Asia, and Europe on NPI activities
You''ll navigate ambiguous technical challenges in a fast-paced, iterative environment, applying state-of-the-art technologies to solve extreme-scale problems. This role requires occasional travel to development sites and supplier locations for hands-on problem solving.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field
Experience applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), or Design for X principles
Experience with manufacturing processes including injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, or electronics assembly
Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing supplier relationships
Knowledge of quality systems and methodologies including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement principles
Experience with CAD software and technical drawing interpretation
Understanding of statistical process control and capability analysis

Master''s degree in Engineering Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Experience with robotics, mechatronics, or electromechanical systems manufacturing
Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to mass production
Knowledge of test engineering principles and automated test equipment development
Experience with failure analysis techniques including FMEA, 8D, and root cause corrective action
Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing systems
Experience working in global manufacturing environments across multiple time zones
Strong project management skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences
