System Engineer

Title: System Engineer

Location: Remote Occasional Travel to GA/FL.

Duration: Full Time

JD:

Key Objectives:

• Manage and support Microsoft server environments to ensure stability and security.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain virtualization platforms including HyperV and VMWare.
• Oversee Nutanix infrastructure to optimize performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and deliver seamless IT operations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure based on Microsoft technologies.
• Administer and troubleshoot virtualization environments using HyperV and VMWare.
• Manage Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure, including upgrades and capacity planning.
• Monitor system performance, perform regular maintenance, and ensure security compliance.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams to support integrated IT solutions.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users and junior team members as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience managing Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with virtualization platforms: HyperV and VMWare.
• Experience working with Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
