JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Sr Advanced Manufacturing/Production Operator to work from their Charleroi PA facility. We apply advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native and Quantum Physics to solve our customers' missions in cyber, RF, undersea, interstellar and everything in between.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. AA Degree or certification in manufacturing area preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Confidential security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Putting quality over quantity, the Sr Advanced Manufacturing / Production Operator will perform project tasks/assignments of moderately complex nature ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Basically, you'll perform fabrication or inspection functions in a research, production or pre-production environment by building or integrating hardware for prototypes, assemblies and large complex systems, building RF, multi-function cables and harnesses and soldering ribbons/strip line skills for RF performance.

You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the manufacturing process, including assembly, inspection, and testing of electronic and mechanical components. The role requires adherence to quality specifications, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting continuous improvement activities.

What you bring to the table:
  • A High School diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. An AA Degree or certification in manufacturing area preferred
  • Ability to perform more advanced loading and configuring of customer/standard software on customer device
  • Ability to perform more advanced fabrication and marking
  • Distinct communication and computer skills
  • Solid knowledge of Statistics and SPC applications
