Role: ServiceNow ATF Engineer
Location: Remote (Dallas, TX)
The ServiceNow ATF Engineer for will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing automated tests using the Automated Test Framework (ATF) within the ServiceNow platform, with a particular focus on Security Operations (SecOps) modules. The role aims to ensure the integrity, quality, and performance of SecOps functionalities during the implementation phase, enabling smooth deployment and seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Strategy Development:
• Design and develop automated testing strategies specifically for ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) modules including Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Response, and Security Incident Response.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate common processes into comprehensive test cases.
2. Automated Testing Execution:
• Develop, configure, and maintain Automated Test Framework (ATF) scripts and scenarios for SecOps modules within ServiceNow.
• Execute automated test scripts and monitor test results to identify issues and improvements.
• Ensure ATF tests are structured for reusability and scalability in future ServiceNow releases and upgrades.
3. Integration and Regression Testing:
• Conduct integration testing of SecOps functionalities with other ServiceNow modules and third-party integrations to validate end-to-end workflows.
• Perform regression testing for Security Operations modules during new releases and updates to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected.
4. Defect Tracking and Resolution:
• Identify, document, and report any defects or inconsistencies found during automated testing using ServiceNow’s inbuilt functionalities or dedicated testing tools.
• Work closely with SecOps solution architect to resolve identified issues and perform re-testing as necessary.
5. Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously enhance the automated test cases based on evolving SecOps requirements and platform improvements.
• Stay updated on ServiceNow platform updates, particularly related to the SecOps module, and adapt ATF scripts accordingly.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports to document findings and communicate testing status to project stakeholders.
• Provide insights and recommendations for improving test coverage and efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience with ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF) for creating and maintaining automated tests.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow Security Operations modules (Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Response, Security Incident Response).
- Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with scripting in ServiceNow environments.
- Experience in automated testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs for integration testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to document and report test findings effectively.
- ServiceNow certifications (ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, or ATF-related micro-certifications) are preferred.
Professional Experience:
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow ATF Engineer or similar role in ServiceNow implementations.
- Hands-on experience with SecOps testing within ServiceNow.
- Previous exposure to CMDB and ITOM processes would be ideal
