AWS Cloud Technical Enablement Lead

AWS Cloud Technical Enablement Lead is responsible for designing, enabling, and operationalizing enterprise cloud platforms that accelerate secure, scalable, and consistent cloud adoption.
This role owns end-to-end cloud enablement across platform engineering, infrastructure automation, governance, and operational readiness, serving as the central technical enablement function for application and data teams adopting cloud services.
The role partners closely with Cloud CoE, Security, Networking, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to ensure cloud platforms align with enterprise standards, compliance requirements, and modernization strategy.

NOTE:   I would search for a lead person who can moved Cloud AWS Modernization.  Not a heads down person. Want someone who can speak to Stakeholders  

 The team is in the early stages of building out a new AWS environment, beginning with an initial AWS 1.0 setup, followed by a broader migration into a more mature AWS 2.0 environment.
 This role will play a key part in shaping the strategy and execution of building these environments from the ground up, so flexibility and a hands-on approach are critical.
 The ideal candidate should come from a large enterprise environment, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex organization
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD automation is required.

Candidates should have proven experience implementing:

• Cloud landing zones
• Governance frameworks
• Security guardrails at scale

A deep understanding of:

• Cloud networking
• IAM (Identity & Access Management)
• Security controls
• Enterprise integration patterns

This is a highly visible role that will help define foundational cloud architecture and best practices for future state environments. 
Must Haves:

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or cloud architecture roles
• Deep hands on experience with AWS
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD automation
• Proven experience implementing cloud landing zones, governance models, and security guardrails at scale
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security controls, and enterprise integration patterns
• Ability to lead cross functional technical initiatives and influence without direct authority

 Nice to Haves:  

• Experience operating a Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE) or platform enablement team
• Experience supporting large scale cloud migration and modernization programs
• Familiarity with container platforms, serverless architectures, and cloud native observability tools
• Experience defining operational readiness, SRE, or production support models for cloud platforms

Day to Day:
Lead the design, build, and operation of enterprise cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), Google Cloud Platform), including landing zones, account/subscription structures, networking, IAM, and security guardrails

• Establish and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent, repeatable, and auditable cloud deployments
• Enable and standardize core cloud services across compute, containers, networking, data, security, and observability platforms
• Embed security, compliance, and governance controls by default, including encryption, monitoring, ingress/egress patterns, and least privileged access
• Own platform operational readiness, including reliability practices, production support models, observability standards, and incident response alignment
• Provide hands on technical leadership and enablement to application and data teams, reducing onboarding time and eliminating rework
• Define cloud operating standards, architectural patterns, and reusable enablement assets (blueprints, templates, playbooks)
• Partner with leadership to align the cloud enablement roadmap with enterprise cloud strategy and modernization initiatives
• Promote cloud cost management, usage visibility, and standardized patterns to support financial governance and sustainability
