Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SDET with deep experience engineering automated testing frameworks for high-throughput, low-latency financial transaction systems (such as stock exchanges or clearinghouses). In this role, you will modernize and secure critical financial applications for a Federal client.

A key differentiator for this position is the integration of advanced AI tooling specifically Anthropic Claude into the software development lifecycle. You will leverage large language models (LLMs) to accelerate test generation, conduct intelligent log analysis, mock complex financial data, and automate the validation of intricate regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• AI-Driven Test Automation: Architect, implement, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks utilizing Anthropic Claude (via API/Bedrock) to dynamically generate test cases, synthesize high-fidelity synthetic financial data, and automate defect root-cause analysis.
• Exchange-Grade Testing: Design and execute rigorous automated testing strategies for mission-critical, low-latency, and high-concurrency transactional processing systems mimicking stock exchange behaviors (order matching, clearing, and settlement).
• Framework Development: Build and scale robust behavior-driven (BDD) and data-driven testing frameworks from scratch using Java, Python, or C#.
• Performance & Load Engineering: Conduct performance, stress, and latency testing to ensure the application handles extreme transaction volumes and market-simulation spikes without degradation.
• CI/CD Integration: Seamlessly integrate automated test suites into AWS-based DevSecOps pipelines, ensuring continuous testing and automated compliance gating.
• Federal Compliance & Security: Collaborate with security teams to ensure all automated testing practices comply with federal standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, Section 508, FISMA).

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of experience as an SDET, with at least 2–3 years focused on high-volume financial applications (e.g., FinTech, Stock Exchanges, Banking Infrastructure, Trading Platforms).
• AI & LLM Integration: Hands-on experience prompt engineering and leveraging Anthropic Claude (or similar LLMs) to optimize code generation, generate test coverage matrices, or parse massive system logs.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least two core languages: Java, Python, or C#.
• Automation Tooling: Mastery of industry-standard testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, RestAssured, and Cucumber.
• Financial Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of financial protocols (e.g., FIX protocol), ACID compliance, transaction isolation levels, and message-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Cloud & DevOps: Strong experience with AWS (or Azure/Google Cloud Platform) cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

• Performance Testing Tools: Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Locust optimized for low-latency validations.
• Regulatory Experience: Prior experience supporting US Federal agencies or working under strict regulatory oversight (SEC, FINRA, CFTC, Treasury).
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in AWS, Agile/SAFe methodologies, or AI/Prompt Engineering.
